Welcome to Tabzee.
Your extension is installed. Use this page as a quick first-run checklist before you let Tabzee manage background tabs.
Three checks before you start.
These steps keep the extension predictable from the first session.
1
Pin Tabzee in the Chrome toolbarOpen Chrome extensions from the toolbar and pin Tabzee so suspension controls are easy to reach.
2
Open Tabzee settingsSet your inactivity timer, notification preference, and whether pinned tabs can be suspended.
3
Add important domains to the whitelistProtect dashboards, docs, email, long-running tasks, or sites that should never be suspended.
What happens next?
Tabzee starts with a 30-minute inactivity timer, skips supported media and audible tabs, and keeps optional analytics disabled until you turn them on.
A
Background tabs are monitored
The service worker periodically checks inactive tabs against your settings.
B
Protected tabs are skipped
Whitelisted domains, pinned tabs, audio, and media playback are handled conservatively.
C
You stay in control
Wake tabs, sleep background tabs, and adjust limits from the popup or settings page.
